Nigeria is no longer blacklisted globally, as it was revealed by the minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, that national rating rose to 75.5 percent.
This he made known at the commissioning of the Juhi-2 Aviation fuel depot on Thursday at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, (MMIA), Lagos.
Expanding further, the new status of the Country’s aviation means that airlines can now access dry lease aircraft, he added.
The minister assured that very soon, there would be more aircraft in Nigeria, and Juhi-2 aviation fuel may need to increase its capacity to cater to the influx of aircraft into Nigeria.
Earlier, Patience Dappa, chairman of Juhi 2, said the conclusion of the project is a testament to the company’s belief in excellence and innovation in aviation fuel management.
“As the largest airside jet fuel depot in Nigeria, this facility spans 46,000 square meters and boasts of an impressive storage capacity of 15 million litres of Jet A1 fuel”, she added.
