NPFL: Exciting Results Mark Matchday 14 Drama.

Matchday action in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) on 27 November delivered thrilling results, with standout performances from various teams.

 

Abia Warriors emerged victorious with a 2-0 triumph, showcasing their dominance on home turf, beating Katsina United, while Akwa United edged Plateau United 1-0 in a tightly contested match.





 

Niger Tornadoes suffer a heavy defeat in the hands of Bayelsa United losing 1-4. A win highlighting the attacking intent of Bayelsa.

At the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos, El Kanemi suffered defeat in the hands of Ikorodu City, losing 2:0 in full time. Ikorodu City moved up to 5th on the table as they continue to surprise many in their debut season.

Meanwhile, Kano Pillars’ match against Enyimba was postponed, due to international engagement for the people’s Elephant in CAF Confederations Cup. Leaving fans eager for their return to action.

 

In another competitive fixture, Kwara United defeated Heartland 1-0, maintaining their strong home form. Nasarawa United edge Bendel 2-1, elsewhere Rangers international comfortably over ride Lobi Stars at home, winning 3:0.

Remo Stars emerge winners against southwest rivals Shooting Stars in Ikenne winning 2:0 to end winless run.

Meanwhile Sunshine Stars and Rivers United share the spoils in a 1:1 draw wrapping up an eventful day of football.

 

 Standings and Top Performers 

The league standings reflect intense competition, with Remo Stars back at the top of the table on goal difference. Rivers United and Rangers International occupy second and third positions, respectively, while El Kanemi and Ikorodu City follow closely behind.

Fans were treated to incredible displays of skill and determination, as the race for the top positions intensifies. With form fluctuating across teams, the NPFL promises more excitement in the matches to come.
