In anticipation of the forthcoming three-week orientation course scheduled to commence from February 15 to March 6, 2024, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has issued a stern warning to its officials against excessive socialization with corps members.
Hajiya Aisha Mohammed, the coordinator of the NYSC scheme in Katsina State, emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline and setting a good example for the incoming corps members.
During an address to officials preparing for the orientation course, Mohammed stressed the need for officials to adhere strictly to the established rules and regulations governing the conduct of the program.
“Officials are discouraged from over-socializing with corps members,” Mohammed stated, underlining the significance of maintaining a professional relationship with the prospective youth participants. She further urged security agents deployed for the exercise to collaborate closely with officials to ensure a smooth and secure environment throughout the orientation course.
“By working in synergy, corps members will be inspired to actively engage in all camp activities,” Mohammed affirmed, highlighting the pivotal role of teamwork in fostering a conducive atmosphere for the participants.
In line with Mohammed, Camp Commandant Capt. AS Musa stressed the necessity of teamwork for the successful execution of the orientation exercise. He reiterated the unwavering commitment of security agencies to safeguard the camp premises during the entirety of the program.
