The Odatiwa Women Wing group has thrown its weight behind Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to emerge as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the forthcoming gubernatorial primary.
The convener of the group, Mrs. Olamide Falana, who also serves as the Special Adviser to the governor on Gender, announced the group’s endorsement during their inaugural meeting held in Akure on Wednesday. Falana emphasized the group’s belief in Governor Aiyedatiwa’s quality leadership demonstrated since assuming office.
“We are rooting for the governor to ensure continuity of his commendable efforts,” stated Falana, highlighting Aiyedatiwa’s leadership qualities and his demonstrated loyalty to his former principal. She stressed the importance of strategizing to ensure a massive victory for Aiyedatiwa with the support of women across all 18 local government areas of the state.
“The essence of the meeting was to strategize on how to ensure massive victory for Aiyedatiwa, with the help of women across the 18 local government areas of the state,” Falana affirmed.
Furthermore, Falana praised Aiyedatiwa’s patience, calmness, and readiness to work, noting his demonstrated commitment to serving the people of Ondo State. She emphasized the governor’s gentle leadership tenets as crucial qualities needed for effective governance in the state.
