In a meeting with the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), President Bola Tinubu reassured the nation of his administration’s unwavering dedication to addressing corruption and other pressing challenges.
The president emphasized the need for a collective change in mindset towards financial matters and called on Christian leaders to support the ongoing anti-corruption efforts.
During the meeting led by CAN President Archbishop Daniel Okoh, President Tinubu urged Christian leaders to promote understanding, tolerance, perseverance, and hope among Nigerians. He emphasized the importance of dialogue, stating that public condemnation does not contribute to the nation’s well-being.
President Tinubu acknowledged criticisms of his government, particularly regarding the size of his cabinet, defending the need for efficiency and resourcefulness. He emphasized the significance of providing manageable challenges to ensure growth and performance in Nigeria.
In response, Archbishop Okoh expressed support for President Tinubu’s commitment to good governance, urging him to prioritize security, inclusivity, and peaceful co-existence. He commended the president’s leadership and assured him of CAN’s readiness to collaborate in nation-building.
President Tinubu concluded the meeting by expressing gratitude for the support and prayers of the Christian community, pledging to continue working towards a flourishing Nigeria.
