Tanzania Unveils East Africa’s Longest Bridge: Magufuli Bridge On Lake Victoria.
Tanzania has achieved a significant milestone with the completion of the Magufuli Bridge, East Africa’s longest bridge, spanning 3.2 kilometres across Lake Victoria. Constructed at a cost of $300 million, the bridge is set to transform travel and trade in the region.
Named after the late President John Magufuli, the bridge has drastically reduced travel time across the lake, cutting it down from two hours by ferry to just four minutes by road.
