They opened fire, riddling his body with bullets, and then used an axe to ensure his demise, leaving the congregation in a state of terror and confusion.
Prophet Adetula, who was also known to serve as a commander in the Ogun State So-Safe Security outfit, was described by those who knew him as a dedicated spiritual leader and a pillar of the community. The assailants managed to flee the scene, heading towards the border area, which complicates the pursuit due to the proximity to the international boundary.
