Social critic Verydarkman (VDM) has shed light on the alleged grudge between singer Naira Marley and his late signee, Mohbad.
According to VDM, Naira Marley claimed that Mohbad owed him a huge sum of money, which led to a rift between them.
VDM revealed that the problem began when Mohbad started collecting deals outside of Marlian Records, Naira Marley’s label, and refused to pay managerial fees. Instead, Mohbad allegedly paid the fees to members of his cult.
VDM claimed that Naira Marley told him he had evidence of Mohbad’s wrongdoing but refused to share it publicly. When VDM offered Naira Marley a platform to share his side of the story, the singer declined, saying “the Lord would fight his battle.”
VDM also observed that Naira Marley lacked self-confidence and couldn’t speak confidently without smoking. VDM noted that Naira Marley is not a cultist and that some big names in the industry are aware of this.
VDM wished that Naira Marley would clear his name and open up about his relationship with Mohbad, who passed away on September 12, 2023.
