A couple of Super Eagles players are considering retirement from international duty following the disappointment of losing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, final to Cote d’Ivoire.

AFCON 2023: The Super Eagles of Nigeria threw away a one-goal lead to lose 2-1 to hosts Cote d’Ivoire on Sunday.

And following the defeat, an insider report, revealed that “a lot of players are considering retirement”.

Although, some of them are due for retirement and should make an announcement in the coming days.

However, there could be some surprising names too according to the update within the camp.

However, the source noted, “This is the time for the NFF to engage the players and create the atmosphere that they are loved and the AFCON setback is not the end of life, we can continue working and win in 2025”.
