A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Maitama has granted bail to former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele. He was granted bail in the sum of N300 million. In a ruling on Wednesday, Justice Hamza Muazu held that Emefiele should produce two sureties, who must have landed property in the Maitama District of the FCT. Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, said the FCT Administration has pegged the cost of issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy (C-of-O) at N5 million.
