Naira scarcity is biting harder across the country as banks have limited cash withdrawals, according to Daily Trust. Residents of Lagos, Abuja, Kano, Katsina, Jigawa and Adamawa and in other parts of the country are expressing concerns over their inability to withdraw huge cash in their banks, raising fears of scarcity as experienced during the naira swap. The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has joined the nationwide indefinite strike declared by the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC). ASUU on Monday directed its members to join the strike starting from Monday midnight. Former Spain midfielder Cesc Fabregas will take temporary charge of Italian Serie B side Como, the club confirmed on Monday. Fabregas will replace Moreno Longo as manager, after the Italian won just 16 of his 45 games in charge. The job will mark the 36-year-old’s senior managerial debut. The former Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea midfielder retired from his playing career in July. The 10th Senate has assured that it will reconsider the Diaspora Voting Bill this week. The Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele (APC-Ekiti), made this known during a virtual dialogue organised by Engage Diaspora Foundation in collaboration with the Directorate of Diaspora and International Affairs of his office. Two sweepers of the Lagos Waste Management Agency (LAWMA), have been killed by a hit-and-run vehicle in Gbagada axis of Lagos state, on Monday. In a statement by LAWMA, security agencies have been contacted to apprehend and prosecute the fleeing driver of the car.
