The Chairman of the Labour Party in Karshi District of the Federal Capital Territory, Valentine Onuigbo, has been found dead in his home in the early hours of Saturday. Famous Nigerian content creator and activist Adebowale Debo Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has raised the alarm that officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, were yet to arrive at his polling unit. Mr. Macaroni made this known in a tweet on Saturday. The comedian stressed that Nigerians are patiently waiting to vote. “We are still waiting for @inecnigeria officials. Abeg INEC, Nigerians are still waiting at different polling units oo. We want to vote !!! “My people, please do not be deterred. Whatever it takes, we must Vote,” he wrote.

The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, was on Saturday, unable to cast vote at his polling unit 7, Ward 9, Wimpey Junction, Rumuepirikom, Port Harcourt, Rivers State as the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System network failed. The governor arrived at his polling unit with his entourage. Voters’ accreditation began late at the polling unit as election materials and officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission were not seen as of 10 am.

The vice president and his wife, both from Ikenne, voted at Polling Unit 14, Egunrege, Ikenne Local Government Area.
