The United States Mission has increased visitor visa validity from 24 months to 60 months for Nigerians who want to enter America temporarily for business and/or tourism. The action reiterates the assurance of the U.S. government that it remains committed to strengthening ties with Africa’s most populous nation. The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has scored the highest votes in Saturday’s presidential election in Nasarawa State. Obi secured 191,361 votes in the contest with his closest challenger, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, who scored 172,922 votes while Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party scored 147,093 votes. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been accused of compromising the 2023 presidential election held on the 25th of February, 2023. This is coming after some political parties challenged INEC for not uploading results from polling units across the country before the national collation started in Abuja. Former Anambra State governor, Mr. Peter Obi is heading for a landslide victory in the results of the presidential elections held on Saturday in his state. From the results so far declared, Labour Party has cleared all 12 local government areas announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC. The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar has won the national election in Akwa Ibom State. The former Vice President secured 214,012 votes to defeat Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who polled 160,620 votes. The presidential candidate of the Progressives Congress (APC) , Bola Tinubu, has urged Lagos residents to avoid any act of violence as the results of the presidential election trickle in. Prof. Simeon Adebayo Oladipo, the Senatorial Returning Officer, announced Abiru as the winner on Monday in Lagos. Former federal lawmaker, Dino Melaye, has challenged the result of the Ekiti State presidential election and wants it cancelled immediately. Presenting his observation at the commencement of the collation of results at the International Conference Centre, Abuja on Monday, Melaye, who is the agent of the Peoples Democratic Party, raised observations on alleged over-voting.
