The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has declared the Labour Party, LP presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, the winner of Saturday’s Presidential election in Anambra State. The Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, Peter Obi has won Saturday’s election in Imo State. Obi won in a landslide after polling more votes than the All Progressives Congress, APC, counterpart, Bola Tinubu; and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, flag bearer who came third. According to collated results by INEC, Obi scored 352, 904 votes while the APC garnered 66171 votes and the PDP got 30, 044.

The state collation officer for the presidential election in Rivers State, Prof Charles Adias, has adjourned the collation of Saturday’s election results. Adias adjourned the collation of results in the state over alleged threat to his life by unnamed party supporters. The federal government has asked former President Olusegun Obasanjo not to “truncate” the ongoing electoral process in the country. The presidential election results are currently being collated in the federal capital territory (FCT). The results of some states have already been announced. The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has been declared the winner of Saturday’s presidential election in Benue State. Tinubu polled 310,468 to outpace Peter Obi of the Labour Party who scored 308,372 votes.
