Official: Brighton Head of Recruitment Sam Jewell agrees to join Chelsea.
Chelsea and Brighton continue their inter-club transactions as the blues poached yet another staff from Brighton and Hove Albion, this time getting their hands on head of recruitment Sam Jewell.
Jewell will be part of multi-club project to bring in and select new players.
He’s been placed on gardening leave as Mike Cave and George Holmes will assume Jewell’s responsibilities.
Sam Jewell’s capture makes the 11th staff/player Chelsea would sign from Brighton in 17 months under new ownership.
Graham Potter, Billy Reid, Björn Hamberg, Bruno Saltor, Ben Roberts, Kyle McCauley, Paul Winstanley, Robert Sánchez, Marc Cucurella. Moisés Caicedo and now Sam Jewell. Have all at switched from Brighton to Chelsea in recent times.
