The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced the destruction of several illegal oil refining sites in Rivers State and the elimination of numerous terrorists in Niger through recent coordinated air strikes.
This information was released in a statement by Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Edward Gabkwet, the Director of Public Relations and Information, on Sunday in Abuja.
AVM Gabkwet highlighted that as the activities of oil thieves and economic saboteurs become increasingly sophisticated, the NAF and other security agencies are continuously re-strategizing to stay ahead.
He noted that oil thieves often find new methods to conceal their overhead tanks used for storing stolen crude oil from busted pipelines in the Niger-Delta region.
