Famous Nigerian content creator and activist Adebowale Debo Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has raised the alarm that officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, were yet to arrive at his polling unit. Mr. Macaroni made this known in a tweet on Saturday. The comedian stressed that Nigerians are patiently waiting to vote. “We are still waiting for @inecnigeria officials. The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, was on Saturday, unable to cast vote at his polling unit 7, Ward 9, Wimpey Junction, Rumuepirikom, Port Harcourt, Rivers State as the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System network failed. The governor arrived at his polling unit with his entourage. The Vice Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kashim Shettima on Saturday arrived his Shettimari polling unit 001 in Lawan Bukar ward of Maiduguri metropolis but could not vote due to the absence of election officials. As Nigerians elect a new president today, no fewer than two million Ogun State residents are expected to take part in the election.
